M. Blair Hull
Blair Hull is a life
long Democrat who knows the meaning of
hard work. A lot of politicians who have come from privileged
families don't have the kind of connection with the working
community that a lifetime in the private sector can provide. But
Blair Hull isn't your typical politician. He served in the United
States Army and went to Vietnam. He taught high school math and
physics. He created a business from scratch and built it into one of
the most successful and reputable companies in its field. Coming from
working class roots, Blair knows about having to keep up a strong work
ethic.
It's these values and experiences that shaped Blair
Hull's political ideology. Some politicians are afraid to take a clear
stand on issues. But not Hull. He's a public supporter of a
woman's right to choose and has served on the National Board of NARAL
Pro-Choice America. He supports and is involved with Planned Parenthood
and Voters for Choice. He has been recognized by the Illinois General
Assembly for his devotion to protecting and advancing the rights of
women. On taxes, Hull takes a strong position. In an interview he
recently stated that he would not have supported the recent tax cuts for
the wealthy passed by the U.S. Senate. The reason, he said, was because
"We have a 7.1 trillion dollar debt at this time. Our deficits are at
record levels, more than twice the record previously. I think when you
are running those kinds of deficits, you do not give tax breaks,
especially to the wealthy."
Although Blair Hull is independently
wealthy, he understands the kind of political agenda being forced
on our nation isn't good for the country. Unlike
other politicians, Blair Hull thinks ahead. And unlike other
politicians, Blair Hull knows the issues and is committed to making his
solutions work.
